Blind Creek Solar Farm will contribute $330 per MW per year to the bespoke Community Benefit Sharing Program. For a 350MW project, this will allow neighbours and the community to share between $2m and $3.4m, depending on whether the funds are spent up front or over the 30 year project life. This will scale up or down depending on the size of the project. Recipients of the funds are encouraged to spend the money on local projects which are aligned with a vision of sustainable agriculture, environmental restoration and community building.
